Beautiful Ironstone Tureen Lid

This is a lovely, large tureen lid that measures about 10 1/4 inches in diameter.  The inner lip is 8 1/2 inches wide. There is a pretty swirl pattern across the lid, and a nice fluted, substantial, handle.  This lid is in wonderful shape (see photos).  It was dug out of a pit on Galveston Island, and is about 150 years old!! Just think, you could own a piece of Texas history!
